The Friday Feast ~ the 1st of December

The Friday Feast is my attempt at picking out a few things from the personal finance community that I found interesting this week. It's also a chance for me to keep you fine readers updated on where we are in the U.S.

Here's what's up in the personal finance community

First - I can feel it. Can you? I can feel that 2018 is going to be the year of the hustle. Getting involved with as much as I can. Seeing what's possible. It's going to be the year where I discover what's truly possible in this lifestyle after full-time work. Perhaps the beginning of a new life, you never know.

It's going to happen, I can feel it! Now, onto the blogs.

First, a big congratulations goes out to Andy Hill, who hosts the incredibly awesome podcast Marriage, Kids and Money, for paying off their mortgage.

    Here is his tweeted evidence:

Defined Sight wrote an awesome piece about building others up in a world of "Me First". It's too easy to criticize. Stay above the fray, my peeps!

Here's a story from Millennial Revolution who had their backup early retirement plan tested during the oil crash. "The year was 2015. Obama was president, health care was totally a thing that people could count on, and half the people in showbiz hadn’t been accused of sexual assault. It was a simpler time."

Chief Mom Officer wrote a couple weeks ago about how a single stock could turn your kid into an investing expert.

Keith over at Money Is Not Taboo argues that cash flow is more important than net worth. Hmm, the guy might have a point!

A Financial Savvy Doc talks about that $400,000 elephant in the room.

Do you use credit cards during the holidays? Family Money Plan explains why we should almost always use credit to buy our Christmas gifts.

One of the newer kids on the personal finance block, Accidental Fire, sent a post into the airwaves about the Fast and the Frivolous. Those damn cars.

Lastly, J$ talked Christmas Stimulus this week. :)
