  1. Thanks for the blog recommendations Steve! I see a few of them in here that weren’t already in my feed.

This week I wrote about the perceived “boredom” of early retirement on howtoretireearly.net, would love your opinion on it.

I would also recommend “The utter boredom of successful personal finance” on retireJapan: http://www.retirejapan.info/blog/the-utter-boredom-of-successful-personal-finance (despite the blog name, his latest article works for everyone who’s FI or trying to achieve it)

    1. Hi Stockbeard,

It’s funny that you mentioned your newest article about boredom after retirement, because I just finished writing an article that is scheduled for publishing next Monday that covers this exact topic. Personally, I agree with you that retirement opens doors, not close them. If your job is the only thing that is keeping you from getting bored, then there might be larger problems of motivation and “meaning” involved.

Thanks for reading and your recommendation. I will take a look at the RetireJapan.info article.

  2. Pretty interesting to think that we share so much about ourselves online about our money and finance plans, but even with close personal friends it sometimes just doesn’t relate.

  3. Thanks for including me in this week’s feast. I love reading this post every week because it gives me something to chew on for the weekend. That and I can read them while I am having a glass of wine, spirits, or some of the local brew I picked up.

  4. Thanks for sharing, Courtney! As always, fantastic reads this week! I especially like the article on Retire by 40… I hadn’t read that one yet, and it really got my brainwaves moving on this whole early retirement concept. Thanks again 🙂
